چکیده

The paper is devoted to the study of positive solutions a second-order linear elliptic equation in divergence form domain [Formula: see text] that satisfy an oblique boundary condition on portion text]. First, we weak for degenerate mixed value problem where bounded Lipschitz domain, relatively open text], and (Robin) operator defined sense. In particular, discuss unique solvability above problem, existence principal eigenvalue, minimal Green function. Then establish criticality theory general with no growth at infinity. extends results obtained by Pinchover Saadon classical such stronger regularity assumptions coefficients are assumed.

Maximum Principles for a Class of Nonlinear Second-order Elliptic Boundary Value Problems in Divergence Form

For a class of nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems in divergence form, we construct some general elliptic inequalities for appropriate combinations of u(x) and |∇u|2, where u(x) are the solutions of our problems. From these inequalities, we derive, using Hopf ’s maximum principles, some maximum principles for the appropriate combinations of u(x) and |∇u|2, and we list a few examples of p...

Elliptic Boundary-Value Problems

In the first part of this chapter we focus on the question of well-posedness of boundary-value problems for linear partial differential equations of elliptic type. The second part is devoted to the construction and the error analysis of finite difference schemes for these problems. It will be assumed throughout that the coefficients in the equation, the boundary data and the resulting solution ...

Nonlinear Elliptic Boundary Value Problems

It is the object of the present note to present a new nonlinear version of the orthogonal projection method for proving the existence of solutions of nonlinear elliptic boundary value problems. The key point in this method is the application of a new general theorem concerning the solvability of nonlinear functional equations in a reflexive Banach space involving operators which may not be cont...
